Grandvalira hosts the Andorra Supermoto GP of 2011

Grandvalira is preparing to welcome a new test of global significance

The Supermoto World Championship organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) arrives in Andorra, where they will contest the third round of the world after the Grand Prix of Busca (Italy) and Pleven (Bulgaria). It will be during the first weekend of July, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3, Grandvalira Circuit.

The Finnish Mauno Hermunen (Husqvarna) Andorra reach as global leader. His well in Search and mastery displayed in Pleven has made him the top spot in the championship with 128 points. Thomas Chareyre (TM), reigning world champion, is his nearest rival with 121 points, a narrow margin over the 114 Ivan Lazzarini (Honda) and 104 of his brother Adrien Chareyre (Aprilia) third and fourth respectively.

Category S1 Supermoto World Championship returns to Andorra after the two tests were held in the months of December 2008 and 2009. On both occasions he won the office of the Chareyre brothers, Thomas and Adrien Category S1 in S2. After a year without a grand prix host the World Superbike returns to the country of the Pyrenees.
