Round #2 of the SupermotoUSA
Pros Series!
250 Pro Podium: L to R Gage McAllister 2nd Fred
Guerin and Translator 1st Casey Yarrow 3rd
05.15.2011
Update: Sunday 3:50pm: Frenchy
Fred Guerin goes from last to first in 250 Main Event!
On a day that promised to be nothing if not drama filled, the
kid that traveled the farthest to get to the wine country of
California will be popping the Champagne on the podium as he
rode from last to first in the Pro 250 Main event here at
Infineon Raceway as part of Round #2 of the SupermotoUSA Pro
Series in conjunction with the 2011 West Coast MotoJam!
After a Heat race where he had a gap
on the field only to DNF due to a clutch nut backing off, the
kid from Evreux, France started on the back row and methodically
picked off everyone in front of him before finally catching race
leader and local favorite, Casey Yarrow with three laps to go
and stretched the finish to around 8 seconds at the checkered
flag. On the last lap it was SupermotoUSA's Brok
McAllister's son, Gage putting a pass on Yarrow for second spot
on the podium and Yarrow gaining the last podium spot. Early
leader and fast qualifier, Ronnie Jones got caught up in the
five rider battle and finished a very respectable 4th after not
riding Supermoto in almost a year.
An incredible turn of events for the kid who'd had nothing but
mechanical problems and issues and hopefully insure that he'll
be back in August to keep his lead in the 250 class and give
Ryan Kearns and the rest of the 450 fast guys a run for their
money on the big bike!
250 Pro Final Results:
1. Fred Guerin
2. Gage McAllister
3. Casey Yarrow
4. Joshua Pederson
5. Ronnie Jones
6. Dominic Colindres
7. Blake Farris
8. Josiah Rundall
9. Tyler Ohara
10. John Brown
11. Andrew Lee
Update: Sunday 1:55pm: 250 Pro Heat Race DRAMA!
The Pro race of the day had nothing but drama in the Heat race
that will set the grid for the main event here in the next 45
minutes as French National 250 Supermoto Champ, Fred Guerin,
came from 4th to put a little gap on fast qualifier Ronny Jones,
Josh Pederson, Gage McAllister, and Casey Yarrow who were all
tied together before Guerin's clutch let go on the last lap
leaving the win to Jones followed by Pederson then McAllister in
3rd.
This craziness in the Heat races only means that there will be
more of it guaranteed in the 250 Pro main event as Guerin will
be lined up at the back of the grid due to his DNF.
250 Pro Heat Race Results:
1. Ronnie Jones
2. Joshua Pederson
3. Gage McAllister
4. Casey Yarrow
5. Tyler Ohara
6. Dominic Colindres
7. Blake Farris
8. Josiah Rundall

Update 4:25pm:
Round #2: Unlimited Pro Win goes to Flyin' Ryan Kearns!
Round # 2 of the SupermotoUSA Pro Series
turned out to be all that it promised to be with a dog-fight
between the top two Qualifiers and Heat race winners, Ryan
Kearns and Danny Casey! Danny Casey got the holeshot and led the
Stockton California hotshoe, Ryan Kearns with Casey Yarrow and
Dustin Hoffman in tow. The 2009 AMA Supermoto Lites Champion
Casey was shadowed by Kearns until Ryan put a wheel inside of
him in the 90degree right hander at the end of the long front
straightaway and led him into the dirt section where he held the
lead and eventually pulled out a gap on the final laps to cross
the finish line 5 seconds in front of Casey who had a gap over
hard riding Dustin Hoffman in third.
Hoffman, worked his way past Yamaha
mounted Casey Yarrow on the second lap of the race to claim the final spot on the podium. The
4th place finisher at Round #1, Fred Guerin, had to start dead
last on his CRF250 after having brake issues in the Heat race on
his 450 Honda. Changing bikes put him to the back of the grid
and a last lap tangle with Reno's Steve Marty put him back in
the 10th position after battling up through the pack.
After what was predicted to be less than
great weather here in wine country, California, the sun came out
and it was dry and not too cold all day long. The SupermotoUSA
Pro Series takes a couple months off before heading North to
Pacific Raceways in Seattle, Washington for Round #3 August
20-21.
The main feature on the schedule for tomorrow
is the 250 Pro race which was an excellent battle between Guerin
and Washington's Jacob Lehman at the first round at Stateline.
Lehman unfortunately was not able to make the trip down for this
event but there are a few other fast 250 riders that will be
trying to keep Misseur Guerin in sight for the winners paycheck.
Come on up to Infineon and see it for yourself!! For

Updated 2:55pm:
Unlimited Pro Heat Race action has concluded
to set the grid for the Unlimited Pro Main Event and the results
for the race were the same as the timed qualifying with Flyin'
Ryan Kearns battling with Danny Casey right down to the
checkers! Young Ryan, Frenchman Fred Guerin and Danny Casey led
after the first lap but Guerin's race pretty much ended there
with a front brake failure and it was left up to Kearns and
Casey to battle to the end of the 10 lap heat.
Final Finishes listed below......

into
California
from across the
Atlantic
