Azteq Racing USA forced to shut down....

April 23 2008:

Much to our displeasure today, I received an e-mail from David Pingree letting me know that "as of today at about 1:00pm the Azteq USA Supermoto team has shut down." "The companies investors pulled out and they are filing for bankruptcy. Everyone on the team including myself, mechanics and team managers are being let go."

I for one had high high hopes for the team. They were looking really good and David was haulin' ass at Moto-X just the weekend before last. David truly deserves a top top notch team to go with his well known talents.....(plus he's a super nice and marketable guy). Unfortunately, anyone involved with Motorsports at just about any level knows it revolves around money, and though Supermoto doesn't require NASCAR sized budgets, it still takes what it takes financially.

If anyone that is reading this article right now ever thought about getting into the most marketable, and exciting form of two-wheel racing on the planet, and are looking for a team that's ready to go.....AND capable of winning a title, give me a shout here at SuperMotoOnline and let's get David and his boys back in the game!!
