The "Kentucky Kid" to ride for TroyLee Designs at X Games 14!!!

In the world of motorcycle racing, the biggest dollars and highest paid riders reside in the rarified air of MotoGP, and one of the few that has attained the highest pinnacle of that discipline of two-wheeled racing is America's, and Owensboro, Kentucky's own Nicky Hayden.

The big announcement came earlier today that Honda supported, TroyLee Designs Supermoto team, would be the lucky recipient of the Repsol Honda riders multi-faceted skills!

 The X-Games comes at the perfect time, since the MotoGP calendar is in the middle of their "summer break" and Nicky doesn't have a race date for another two weeks, it's great timing, and Supermoto racing couldn't ask for a better scenario.

Having won at an array of racing formats from dirt-track to roadracing.....it'll be really interesting to what level that one of the most stylish and "back-it-in" comfortable riders in the world can raise his Supermoto game to.....(and how quickly since it's practice tomorrow, race on Saturday).

There are some pretty famous and awesome photos out there of Nicky draggin' his knee with the bars totally to the locks on a Supermoto bike, so we know he should be lightning fast on the pavement, but the X-Games are known for some pretty knarly dirt layouts.....so.....again........ it should be bery interesting to see just HOW rounded Nicky is though most wouldn't bet against him being very competitive very quickly.

SuperMotoOnline is about to hit the road and get my butt down to the Home Depot Center and I'll be gettin' an interview for sure with the "Kid" . This is gonna be great for Supermoto.......and who knows??? Maybe Nicky will have so much fun he'll do some more!!
