(12:45pm PST) Heat race results!! Heat 1
Herfoss and Conlon transfer after a mangled start where Brandon Currie ended up on the ground. Herfoss was followed pretty closely all the way by Conlon. Currie will have to go to one of the LCQ's. Heat 2
"Ping" on his Azteq racing 450 led for half the way just in front of his old teammate at Troy Lee, Jeff Ward. Ward put a move on Pingree in the dirt and held it to the end. Heat 3
Burkhart led wire to wire with Fillmore getting a battle all the way to the end by super stylish Derek Costella. Heat 4
Anderson, Carlson, and Kurt Nicoll had a battle royale all the way through with Anderson coming from third for the win. LCQ 1
Another bar bangin' start that saw Steve Drew and a number of other front runners on the ground. It was a battle right down to the end with Daryl Atkins sliding out in the pavement section LCQ 2
WOW!! Dalton take the final LCQ race flag to flag to make it into the show while Cameron Welsh, Tyler O'hara, Kurt Nicoll all battled for most of the race. Nicoll finally put a pass on Welsh to get the final final transfer spot. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(10:30am PST) The two Supermoto practice sessions have been run and now it's time to reelax for a little 'till the main event starts at 11:30pm PST. Both sessions went off pretty much without a hitch and no major crashes. Stay tuned for all the action and results here at SMO! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(9:00am PST) Saturday morning here at Qualcomm.......the track announcer has been going through the sound/mike checks and now all is quiet for a few minutes before the sound of four-stroke motorcycles.......Supermoto style transforms the tranquility to the opposite end of the sound spectrum. Supermoto practice is about to take the track so I'll head down from eagles nest that is the press box here at Qualcomm and get some morning photos! Once again........keep the eyes and mouse pointed here and SMO will keep you up to date!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Friday 4.11.08 (5:30pm PST) Ok.....got the timing sheets from todays "Timed Practice" which will determine Heat race starting positions for tomorrows action!!
Allrighty! There we have the rundown of the fastest guys with, no surprise the Honda/Yamaha/KTM factory pilots up front. Talked with Jason Conlon who grabbed the 5th fastest time, and the fastest of those that had to race their way in.....Jason felt really good and felt he would definitely be fit ride hard the whole race. Most everyone has headed back to their respective Hotels to rest up and hit the sack early as the day will start bright and early tomorrow. A big crowd is expected here tomorrow and if you're thinkin' 'bout coming down here to catch the action firsthand you better get your tickets as they're expecting a sold out crowd of close to 80,000. Injury Report: Lots of killer racin' but It was also a day that had it's share of injuries and hard crashes, the most serious of which was All Access' Micky Dymond who crashed hard in the whoop section......(he'd modified his approach after crashin' pretty hard on the lap before his bad one). Word was broken tibula/fibula bones in the leg as well as a possible broken collarbone/shoulder injury. SMO's local boy and friend Vincent Guisande Jr. was transported to the hospital after a white flag lap incident in his Heat race with a possible broken collarbone. Our wishes for very speedy recoveries to both Vincent and Micky. Once again, if you need any other info regarding ticket purchasing or anything else about the event here at Qualcomm Stadium in sunny and warm.....(it was about 82 degrees today) San Diego CLICK HERE for the EXPN page. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(2:30pm PST) Just uploaded a cool gallery of some shots from the last "Invitees" timed practice session. CHECK IT OUT!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
