MISuperMoto/MotoPr/SuperMotoOnline to host Pro Supermoto
Trackday and Film Shoot AMA and Canadian licensed pros welcome to take the track; space is limited
Clio, Mich. (May 21, 2008) With the long wait until the opening round of the XBux/AMA Supermoto Championship, the series racers are invited to a private practice hosted by MISuperMoto in Clio, Michigan on Wednesday, May 28 at 4 - 8 p.m. This is the same track that pros and amateurs will take on for the August 16 MISuperMoto X that features supermoto and rally car racing. There is no cost to AMA and
Canadian licensed pro riders with pro-level equipment to ride the track.
Since this is a private session, no spectators except for 1-2 crew members
are allowed. Two confirmed riders are Team Evolve Moto’s Johnny Lewis
of Coatesville, Penn. and Tim Kiener of Lake Orion, Mich.
The track includes 75% asphalt with a 17-degree banked turn, a high-speed straightaway, and an all-new figure eight section. The dirt section has one of the longest tabletops in supermoto, a double jump and a rhythm section finishing up with another tabletop. Onsite during the session will be a TV production crew that will film for MISuperMoto and will serve as a test-run for future motorcycle racing broadcast projects across the country. The crew will also tape a few rider interviews. A short version of the video will be provided to participants. Additionally there will be two professional photographers, including SuperMotoOnline.com’s Dennis Anderson. Photographs will be made available for riders/teams within one week following the event for a fee. Auto City Speedway is at 10205 N. Saginaw Road in Clio, Mich. about 1-1/2 hours north of Detroit. To reserve your spot, contact Bryan Peckinpaugh at bryan@motopr.com or call 313-575-1245 with your name, national number, team name/sponsors, and crew member(s).
