HMC/KTM pre-season update from Kurt Nicoll!

Hey Dennis,

Since Moto X the HMC/ KTM Supermoto team have been pretty quiet. Chris and Troy have been doing several track days on the Superduke R 1000cc street bikes and they raced the Moto ST event at Road America last weekend (Troy was leading after 45 minutes, but then unfortunately crashed).

 While the other guys work on their asphalt skills I have been riding mostly motocross. The longer nights have meant that I have been riding a few times a week. My fitness on the bike is great now (way better than in 2007) and I am very comfortable on the 505SXF. With the 505 also being legal for Supermoto Unlimited this year it means that I am able to use basically the same bike for Supermoto and Motocross. I have not ridden Supermoto since Moto X, but this week we used the opportunity of the Road Races in Wisconsin to all meet together for a day of testing at Shawano on Monday 9th June, and Chris and Troy also tested Tuesday, and I rode last Friday.

 At Shawano it looks like the track is going to be even better this year with a brand new, bigger, dirt section! Mitch, Uli, Josh and Hias all came out from the HMC workshops and we really think that our bikes are dialed for that track!



All three of us are ready to go and looking forward to racing in Washington in a couple of weeks!
