SuperMotoOnline.....
As we get closer to
the start of the 2008 XTRM networks/AMA
Supermoto Championship Series, the teams that
are involved are testing and getting prepped and
ready to do "Battle in Seattle". One of the
great guys in the sport and one of the fastest
riders in the series, David Pingree, sent
me a little pre-season update as to what he's
been up to since the team that he was involved
with and had competed for at the Moto-X Games in
San Diego, AzteqUSA Racing, had pulled the
financial plug on his season. That unfortunate
event ended up transforming into a ride with
TroyLee Designs, when Jeff Ward was unable to
commit physically to the full season, picking
David to take over his CRF450.

Things are
going well. The team spent a couple days at
Miller Motorsports park dialing in our settings
last week. The bike is amazing and a hundred
times better than the POS I rode in San Diego.
We are ready to go for Seattle as of right now
and just putting in laps and getting prepared.
My injuries from last season don't bother me
when I ride.
They get
sore at the end of the day, but that is still
improving daily. I've been working with my
trainer, Charles Dao, every week and loggin' in
some miles on the road bike and doing moto's in
the dirt. As far as Cassidy and I are concerned,
there isn't any kind of rivalry. We both want to
win and I'm sure we are going to see plenty of
each other on the track this summer, but we are
friends. When we step out of our gear we leave
it there. It is great to have someone fast to
push you during practice and testing. I think we
are both benefitting from that.
