XTRM/AMA Supermoto News:
Round #3/Vegas: The last round of the
XTRM/AMA
Supermoto Championship Series took place at the
SouthPoint

Resort and Casino in SinCity, Las Vegas, Nevada, a couple
weeks ago..... and it was definitely action packed fun in the SUN!
PREMI
ER/450: In the "Premier" event of the day, it was
local boy makes good in the form of ALWAYS STYLISH...."lookin"
fast and definitely GOIN' FAST, Las Vegas' own,
Derek Costella. Derek was fast from the drop of the Green to the wavin' of the Checkers as he battled with Placentia,
California's,
Micky Dymond, on the CHM Exhaust prepared,
Honda CRF450R. Filling out the podium and now the sole
overall points leader was THE MAN,
Jeff Ward, who battled
past his points rival, Fast from France's,
Sylvain Bidart.
Wardy now holds a slim 2 point margin over the always fast
and likeable Bidart.
Lites/250: After the dust cleared on lap one it was
Idaho's,
Matt Burton, GONE!! The "dust" was a major pileup in
the

first turn dirt berm that left a number of the top riders
tangled and some on the floor. No matter, the fastest 250 of
the weekend was off and running and not to be challenged
while behind him a BATTLE was brewin' between
Danny Casey and
Casey Yarrow, and then Yarrow and first time podium boy,
Cody
Bastian! At the flag it was Burton, cruising, followed by
Casey who rode the wheels off his Mach1 backed bike and then
the aforementioned, Bastian, who, like Dustin Hoffman, at
Infineon, got his Champagne baptism!
Unlimited:
The main event of the day was also the most
controversial. After two red flag stoppages, the on-track

officials decided that due to time constraints that the race
would have to be called.......much to
Steve Drew's bad luck
as he had got caught up in one of the "racin' deals" and was
eventually scored in 3rd behind......get this.....
Jamie
SIEVER!! Wow! First time back at an AMA race and first time
on the big bike and the kid from Kansas put it on the
podium! Unfortunately, the race WAS ended early due to the
injury crashes of Martin Lind, and Johnny Lewis. Lind is
reported to be back riding while Lewis suffered a pretty
nasty knee injury that will sideline him for awhile. Amongst
all the controversies it became the third straight win for
the super nice and super FAST.....Mr. KTM......
Kurt
Nicoll.
Also.....
check
out this Las Vegas Race Video from the French motorsports
website,
Motorevue.com. The

multi-talented
photographer/videographer, Stephan LeGrand did a fantastic
job...... and if you speak French there are two interviews
that are well worth checking out featuring the two CHM Exhaust
compatriots/teammates, Sylvain Bidart and Aurelien Grelier!
