Humpday Happenings in SupermotoLand...

August 20 2008

It's Humpday in SupermotoLand!!!

The weekend flew by with the MiSupermoto-X being the big Supermoto action that took place here in the USA. The XTRM/AMA Supermoto Championship series rolls into the much loved, and great for Supermoto racing action, USA International Raceway, in Shawano, Wisconsin, for Round #3, while the FIM World Supermoto Championship heads to Greinbach, Austria for round #5. Speaking of the AMA series.......the Full Video from Round #1 of the XTRM/AMA Supermoto Championship Series is now available here at SuperMotoOnline for your viewing pleasure!!  Check out the state of the art production and quality for FREE!!!

Also......the fastest "old" guys in the USA will be puttin' it sideways at the Supermoto-USA run 2008 Vet Nationals at the huge and hilly Reno-Fernley raceway in Nevada. Keep your mouse pointed here to "SMO" for all that is goin' down before the green flags wave!

Northern California's, and Mach1 Motorsports backed, Danny Casey, took home the big bucks Saturday, winning the Supermoto Pro Main at the MiSupermoto-X event. Casey capped a race long battle with fellow AMA Supermoto Championship series regulars, Team EvolveMoto/DNA Energy Drink Racing's Johnny Lewis, and the TUF Powersports/Michelin backed Robert Loire for the $1500 first place. Casey, another of the fast Supermoto-USA graduates, continued his excellent 2008 professional supermoto campaign just a week after standing on the podium in Connecticut for his 3rd place finish in round #2 of the AMA Supermoto series.

After round #2 of the AMA Supermoto Championship Series, which was run under comfy weather conditions....(after predictions of possibly nasty storms dissipated into mostly sunny skies and warm temps), Graves Motorsports/Yamaha backed Mark Burkhart may NOT have the runaway season that some were predicting.

The Results are in and HMC/KTM's Troy Herfoss put it to the whole field in the Premier/450 main event even after crashing, and was followed to the line by the Graves Yamaha of Mark Burkhart, and then Troy's HMC teammate Chris Fillmore in third. Hart & Huntington's Steve Drew did it again in Unlimited and the Graves Motorsports/Yamaha of Brandon Currie backed up HIS first round win at Seattle with a Lites class win.  All the Results Pages HERE

Soo much transpired at The Home Depot Center it's almost hard to fit onto this short column but hopefully most of the world had a chance to see it unfold on ESPN. If not however........there are photo galleries that are now up and available for viewin' with shots from Practice, Heats, LCQ and the Main, as well as audio interviews from the post race podium, and pre-race Interviews from Jason Conlon, Micky Dymond, Dalton Dimick, Kurt Nicoll and Mark Burkhart!

Live From X-Games page is filled with Final Results, Photos, Audio Interviews and more!!!

Of course, there IS more to life than just racing...........soooo.........after repeated requests.........the 2008 Complete Supermoto Girls Calendar shoot is now a photo gallery!! Life isn't ALL about fast bikes and airtime right???
